Migrate your projects to scaniverse.nianticspatial.com starting February 20, 2026. You’ll receive an email on February 20 with next steps. Lightship.dev will be decommissioned on February 27, 2026.
Lightship.dev and the Geospatial Browser within the Scaniverse app are being deprecated.
After deprecation:
Lightship.dev will be read‑only for a short period (no new projects, POIs, or API key changes).
Users will be redirected from lightship.dev to scaniverse.nianticspatial.com/migrate-lightship for managing their VPS project data, and for creating new scans.
Existing apps API keys will continue to work. Keys remain valid for verification and existing traffic. You will have the ability to deprecate and create new API keys for your projects in Scaniverse.
February 20, 2026 – Public Scaniverse (Enterprise) launches and Lightship users can begin their data migration.
February 28, 2026 – Lightship.dev site and the Geospatial Browser are shut down; visiting lightship.dev will redirect to the Scaniverse webpage.
Create an Account
To use the NSDK and Scaniverse for business, you must have a Niantic Spatial Scaniverse business account. You can read about business accounts in Niantic's Business Account FAQ. If you have additional questions, contact Niantic's Sales team.
To create an account:
- Navigate to Niantic Spatial.
- Select Sign up->.
- Enter your first and last name, and your email address.
- Choose a sign-up method:
- Sign up with email to associate your email with your Niantic login.
- Sign up with Google to authenticate with your Google account.
- Select the verification link sent to your email to activate your account. If you don't receive an email, check your spam or junk folder.
- All existing apps using the old API key method will continue to work with their API keys
