Overview

To use Niantic's SDK, you must have a business account. Personal and business accounts are separate account types. You cannot convert a personal account into a business account. Business accounts are tied to an Organization.

Business accounts are designed for production workflows, shared ownership, and scalable deployment. Business accounts enable cloud processing for large-scale reconstruction, VPS map generation, and the ability to merge scans from multiple team members into a single site output for use with the NSDK.

Use a business account if you are:

• Scanning large or production-scale environments.
• Creating and managing VPS-enabled locations.
• Collaborating with a team.
• Building client-facing or commercial applications.
• Managing shared projects across an organization.

Free tier

Business accounts include a free tier with usage caps, such as limits on the number of private Sites and cloud processing time.

Create a business account

You can create a business account by signing up yourself or by being invited to an existing Organization.

Sign yourself up

If you sign up yourself, you must create an Organization during sign up as follows:

1. Navigate to the Scaniverse Web.
2. Select Sign up->.
3. Enter your first and last name, and your email address.
4. Choose a sign-up method:
   • Sign up with email to associate your email with your Niantic login.
   • Sign up with Google to authenticate with your Google account.
5. Enter an Organization name.
6. Select the verification link sent to your email to activate your account. If you don't receive an email, check your spam or junk folder.

Accept an invitation

You can also create an account by accepting an invitation from someone inside an existing Organization.

1. Ask someone inside an existing Organization to complete the steps to add others.
2. Select the Accept Invitation link sent to your email to activate your account. If you don't receive an email, check your spam or junk folder. A web browser opens to prompt you to join Scaniverse.
3. Enter your first and last name to Join your team on Scaniverse.
4. Choose a sign-up method:
   • Sign up with email to associate your email with your Niantic login.
   • Sign up with Google to authenticate with your Google account.

Check usage quotas

Each user in an Organization has a quota for:

• The number of total private Sites they can create
• The total number of minutes of scan processing time.

The Free tier plan includes:

• 5 total private Sites
• 25 minutes of scan processing time

You can check your usage against your plan in the Niantic Spatial Dashboard as follows:

1. Log in to Niantic Spatial.
2. Select Dashboard from the left navigation bar.

The Dashboard shows the total number of private Sites and minutes towards Asset Generation for your business account against your quotas. If you need to increase your quota, select Contact sales to reach out to Niantic's Sales team.

Add others to your Organization

You can invite someone by email to join your Organization. They do not have to have an existing Niantic account.

1. Log in to the Scaniverse Web.
2. Select your profile at the bottom of the left navigation bar.
3. Select Account settings.
4. Select the name of the Organization that you want to add a person to.
5. Select Send invite.
6. Enter their email address. You can also select Add another to invite more people.
7. Select Send invite.
8. Ask the person to check their email for your invitation. The link in the email expires 7 days after you invite them.
