Key News Announcements

AWE USA 2025 marks a pivotal moment for Niantic Spatial as we unveil key strategic developments and showcase new enterprise use cases powered by the Niantic Spatial Platform:

  • Building a shared AI-powered map with Snap: Niantic Spatial and Snap have signed a strategic multi-year partnership to jointly build a next generation AI map that will serve as the foundation for AR glasses and AI agents to understand, navigate and interact with the real world. Snap will also be investing in Niantic Spatial. The news is being announced by Evan Spiegel (Snap CEO) during his keynote on June 10 and the invite-only Snap/Peridot VPS demo station outside will give a taste of what’s to come. Read more here.

  • Expanding The Meow Wolf Universe: Meow Wolf, known for their monumental story worlds and immersive multi-media art, has partnered with Niantic Spatial to bring those worlds beyond the walls of physical exhibitions and into the world of augmented reality. A new initiative will open portals into The Meow Wolf Universe anywhere in the world using location-based AR powered by Niantic’s Visual Positioning System (VPS) technology. Read more here.

  • Creating the Garden of Wonder with Singapore Tourism Board: In a first-of-its-kind partnership between Niantic Spatial and a tourism organization, Singapore Tourism Board has leveraged Niantic Spatial’s SDK (ARDK) to create Garden of Wonder, an augmented reality experience at Gardens by the Bay. Using Magic Leap devices, the world-famous attraction is transformed into an interactive playground where visitors can unlock botanical stories through synchronized gameplay. This location-based pilot blends education with spatial technology to reimagine the visitor experience in Singapore. A preview will be available at the Niantic Spatial Lounge.

"Singapore has always been at the forefront of innovation, and we're excited to showcase how Niantic Spatial's cutting-edge technology can add a new dimension to Singapore’s attractions," said Simon Ang, Director, The Collaboratory, Singapore Tourism Board. "Through this pilot initiative, we are demonstrating the transformative potential of AI and augmented reality in creating immersive, meaningful ways visitors can engage with our city's iconic sights."

  • New Niantic Spatial Developer Program: We’re launching a new program offering developers early access to new technology, exclusive pricing, dedicated support, and co-marketing opportunities. Sugar Creative, Wonderment, and Trigger XR are among the first cohort.
