Niantic Spatial builds real-world foundation models for physical AI. Our mission is to develop and deploy spatial technology responsibly, so that people and machines can work efficiently and safely together across some of the world's most demanding environments.
Spatial computing has the potential to transform how industries operate: from enabling robots to navigate complex urban environments alongside people, to giving public sector teams a shared 3D picture of where they operate, to reducing costly downtime in energy and industrial facilities. We develop our technology with that potential in mind, and with a commitment to the ethical standards it demands.
We leverage physical AI to solve real-world problems across industries
Robotics
GPS is unreliable in many environments where robots operate. Our VPS enables centimeter-level precise localization in mapped areas, and corrects for GPS failures and drift beyond them. Our reconstruction technology lets operators rapidly create geometrically accurate environments for robot training and deployment, using inexpensive, off-the-shelf cameras.
Defense and Public Sector
Defense and intelligence customers often have vast amounts of imagery but no shared 3D picture of where they operate. We fuse multiple inputs into geometrically accurate 3D reconstructions that deliver a common operational picture or simulation for training, and our VPS enables precise localization in GPS-degraded environments.
Energy and Industrial
Safety incidents, unplanned downtime, and turnaround complexity are expensive in refineries, factories, and offshore assets. We turn existing capture data into 3D digital twins of facilities and infrastructure that field teams and machines can search, inspect, and act on, reducing site visits and improving asset uptime.
