What is included with a standard 8th Wall account?
All 8th Wall accounts include access to 8th Wall Studio for 3D and XR creation, including World Effects, Image Targets, Human AR, VPS and 3D development. All accounts also include access to the Project Library and legacy tools, such as Cloud Editor.
What is the White Label subscription?
The White Label subscription is a per-project subscription that enables you to launch a project without 8th Wall branding. Projects without a White Label subscription are required to include (1) a splash screen with 8th Wall branding and (2) a “Powered by 8th Wall” logo on the loading screen. Please view more in our docs.
What is the cancellation policy?
White Label subscriptions and legacy plans automatically renew every billing period until you cancel or schedule an end date in advance. You may cancel your 8th Wall plan at any time by logging into your 8th Wall account and going to the “Account” page of your workspace. If you are canceling while on a paid legacy plan, you will have access to legacy features through the end of your billing period. After your plan cancels, you will be on a standard 8th Wall account.
There are no credits or refunds for partial or unused months.
To schedule a White Label subscription end date in advance, please update the Project Duration settings for your Project. See instructions here. When a White Label subscription ends, the project will be archived so it can no longer be viewed. This applies to both 8th Wall Hosted and App Key (formerly known as “Self-Hosted”) projects. A project can be reactivated with a new White Label subscription or by launching the project with 8th Wall branding.
What will happen when my White Label subscription expires and I want to renew at a later time?
When a White Label subscription ends the Web AR project will no longer be accessible. If you have configured a Campaign Redirect URL, users will be sent to that page instead.
You can re-activate the project at any time by purchasing a new White Label subscription directly in your Workspace or by launching the project with the required 8th Wall branding.
What projects require a Commercial License?
Commercial Licenses are no longer required for any projects leveraging 8th Wall technology. If you want to remove 8th Wall branding you must purchase a White Label subscription.
What is a view?
For 8th Wall-hosted projects, a “view” is a request from a web browser to the 8th Wall platform when a user visits your WebAR experience. For App Key projects, a ”view” is a request from a web browser to the 8th Wall platform when a user visits your WebAR experience and approves permissions to initiate an AR session.
What is the cost of Niantic VPS for Web?
Niantic VPS for Web offers a generous free tier, allowing developers to make up to 10,000 calls per month without any charges. Once a developer exceeds this limit, they will be billed starting from their 25,001st call in the first month. Billing is invoiced through Niantic Spatial. See Niantic VPS pricing here.
What type of Hosting is provided by 8th Wall?
8th Wall hosting is powered by a global content delivery network (CDN), providing high speed, low latency web hosting via 600+ points of presence around the globe.
What restrictions are there on user traffic to my projects?
Standard 8th Wall accounts do not grant the right to use and access the 8th Wall Platform for projects with extreme traffic spikes, excessive hosting requirements, live support requirements, integrations into third-party platforms, or those that violate the Terms of Service. Examples of such projects include but are not limited to AR commercials in major television broadcasts, national or international championships, high visibility social media endorsements, high-traffic hologram serving, or integrations with e-commerce sites or ad or technology platforms. What are the requirements for over $1 million in revenue?
For companies or organizations that make over $1 million USD in annual gross revenue or over $1 million USD in funding in the last 12 months are required to be on the custom plan.
