Categories & Prizes
Capture the world in stunning 3D using Gaussian Splats and compete for prizes, recognition, and a chance to showcase your work to the global Scaniverse community. Open exclusively to Scaniverse Plus and Pro subscribers. From construction sites and city streets to forests, landmarks, and stadiums, we're looking for the most impressive real-world reconstructions captured with Scaniverse.
Grand Prize
The Grand Prize will be awarded to the most outstanding entry across all challenge categories based on quality, scale, and real-world impact.

Industrial Environments
Scan the places where things are built, engineered, and maintained including complex environments across construction, energy, utilities, and manufacturing.

Natural Landscapes
Document the landscapes that support land management, environmental monitoring, and GPS-denied environments.

Capture the physical fabric of cities—from streets and public spaces to transit systems and landmarks.

In addition, all category winners will be awarded the following:
⭐ Exclusive Blog Feature - Gain visibility across Niantic Spatial's blog and social channels, showcasing your work to a global audience.
⭐ 500,000 Credits - Receive additional Scaniverse top-up credits equal to $200.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges from the Scaniverse product, engineering, design, and marketing teams based on Reconstruction Quality (50%), Scale & Coverage (25%), and Real-World Value (25%).
Reconstruction Quality
The overall fidelity of the reconstruction, including visual quality, accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail.
Scale & Coverage
The size and scope of the capture, including how effectively the environment has been documented and reconstructed.
Real-World Value
Measures the practical relevance and usefulness of the reconstruction across real-world applications and industries.

Am I eligible to participate?

Participants must have a paid Scaniverse Pro or Plus account. In addition, eligibility varies by country and residency. Please review our official rules and eligibility requirements.
What are the submission requirements?

✅ Active Scaniverse Plus or Pro Subscription — Required at the time of submission.

📦 SPZ File — Exported Gaussian Splat from Scaniverse.

🎥 Video Walkthrough — A short video showcasing the reconstruction.

🏷️ Category Selection — Choose the category that best fits your submission (one category per entry).

💻 Device — Select which device you used to capture your location.

📝 Title & Description — Provide a name and brief overview of the capture.

📍 Location — Where the reconstruction was captured.

📱 Social Media Post URL — Link to a post on LinkedIn, X, Instagram, or Threads using #SplatYourWorld and tagging relevant Niantic Spatial social media accounts @nianticspatial.
All submissions must be received by July 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT.
Are teams allowed?

Entrants may submit an Entry individually or with other Entrants in a team, but please note that each Entry is only eligible for a single prize. Maximum 4 individuals per team.
Are multiple entries allowed?

Up to 3 entries per person or team are allowed.
Who owns the content?
+
By participating, you grant Niantic Spatial permission to feature your submission in marketing, promotional, and community content. Submitted content will not be used for AI training or any purpose beyond showcasing the challenge and Scaniverse.
